There are further reports of a screaming match before the fateful car ride after Brown was reportedly caught chatting up another woman at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party.

Meanwhile back on The Rock (Barbados) Bajans are up in arms over the drama, recalling reports of Brown’s bad behaviour when the pair were here on holiday including the alleged Hilton Hotel room bust up and the alleged garbage can-into -the-Land Rover incident.

Rihanna has had a bit of drama quietly surrounding her for quite some time with reports from sources close to her Bajan posse describing her local liming (hanging out) crew as “wild” and “up for anything.” The same sources say they are unsurprised by the way things with Brown have apparently turned out given the girls reported predilection for bad-boy types and drama.

Hmmm… I guess Ri Ri ain’t no sweet bread but still as the immortal Glamour Girl Sue said “Talk, but doan touch me!”

Barbadians are very upset at the possibility that Chris Brown  may have  been violent with our Ri Ri and conversation buzzed like the low persistent drone of mosquitoes  at last night’s Barbados Model Search finals as the drama surrounding our biggest star Robyn Rihanna Fenty spread like a cane fire via Blackberrys, iphones and whispered comments in the darkened hall.

“According to police, Brown and a woman whom cops refuse to identify were arguing inside a vehicle around 12:30 this morning when suddenly things allegedly turned violent.

Cops say they received a 911 call, and when they arrived they noticed the woman had visible injuries. We’re told she then identified Brown as her attacker. Cops say Brown had left the scene by the time police arrived.

Reports out of  Los Angeles state that Brown turned himself in to the LAPD, was charged with one count of felony criminal threats and subsequently released on $50,000 USD bail.

Oh no! not our Ri Ri!!  Brown better watch out because Bajans real vex about the possibility of anyone harming our girl, I hope he isn’t planning a vacation anywhere near area code 246 in the future.

First it was jcrew, this sunny yellow was so bright I couldn’t help smiling. Mandi Norwood, a blogger with Access Hollywood made much of the fact that she often wears yellow, writing of her inauguration outfit “As every fashionista knows, yellow can be a difficult color to wear” but here’s a little secret, did she mean every white fashionista? because the black fashionistas know yellow looks good on dark-skinned black folk and we’ve never had much difficulty wearing it.

Up next was Mrs O on the View, her dress was so hot that it sold right out of stores after her appearance, price tag $148 USD,

And most recently I have been wowed by Mrs O in… H&M yes that’s right I said it, Mrs O rocked a $35USD H&M dress that I absolutely covet. The perfect fit, the now trademark belted waist, even the colour and the pattern are hot. I am starting the petition for H&M to open up a branch in Barbados right now!

The problems I have with Twilight aren’t actually with the movie, the movie is beautifully filmed and there is even a baseball scene that just wows the photographer in me, the problem I have with Twilight is the simple fact that the story is so badly written that screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg simply cannot make anything remotely resembling realistic dialogue or a plausible storyline out of the utter dreck she is presented with by Stephanie Meyer. I like Meyer’s concepts and I even like Edward Cullen, the hot tortured vampire teen, but the dialogue is so bad it is actually painful to read,  alright already, we get that his skin is cold if I have to read the words “smooth cool marble-hard skin” or “Perfect statue-like chest” one more time I think I will vomit.

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen does his best with what he’s given but since he isn’t given very much it is hard for him to to do more than alternate between a scowl and looking remarkably pretty, Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan has the worst gig, trying to make such an utterly unbelievable vapid character believable, poor thing, she fails miserably but I don’t hold it against her either, it isn’t her fault.

Meyer’s work reads like the first draft in an English class, a class which she might fail if she doesn’t do some quick editing and a few rewrites. Her characters are shallow and lifeless and not in a way that relates to the story, the dialogue is implausible, the relationship Bella has with her parents unbelievable and her adoration of Edward false and  vaguely psychotic. An unfortunate situation given that the potential for me to get hooked on the story was teetering near Harry Potter on my “love it” scale but I have to agree with Stephen King and say the difference between Rowling and Meyer is simply that Rowling actually knows how to write.

So Meyer, good concepts, great potential but really bad books and the movie was just meh simply because you can’t make pudding and souse on Saturday from Tuesday’s chicken steppers.
